Small Class /Clinical and Lab Size for the Excellent Learner
A certified nursing assistant, or CNA, helps patients with activities of daily living and other healthcare needs under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). CNAs are called Nursing Assistants, Patient Care Assistants (PCAs), or Nurse's Aid.
Phlebotomy Training
Phlebotomy (from the Greek words phleba-, meaning "vein," and -tomy, meaning "to make an incision of") is the process of making an incision in a vein with a needle. The procedure itself is known as a venipuncture. Phlebotomists are people trained to draw blood from a patient (mostly from veins) for clinical or medical testing, transfusions, donations, or research. Phlebotomists collect blood primarily by performing venipunctures (or, for collection of minute quantities of blood, finger sticks).
